The Leadership Team has worked together since 2004 with the formation of ZON Re, an accident Insurance and reinsurance managing general underwriting majority-owned subsidiary of UICI/HealthMarkets. After acquiring the interest in ZON Re, the management team began to work with a variety of carriers as an underwriter and third-party administrator (TPA). Along the way, ZON Re and later Group Benefit Options constantly strove to provide efficient solutions to serve our clients. Soon their clients realized the benefits of the latest technology they brought to the table and InsurIQ was born.
A brilliant technical architect and visionary, Shameem began his career as a software engineer with Datatel (now Ellucian). When he joined ZON Re and Group Benefit Options he dove into the industry learning how the operations of his organizations and those of their clients to deploy the latest technology for maximum efficiency. As a result of this work, InsurIQ was born as the commercial viability of the solutions he developed became apparent. Serving as CTO an setting the direction for growth, Shameem is a highly sought after technical advisor to the industry in the areas of design, implementation and API integration, he is committed to finding the best solutions possible for the client first.
A career insurance accounting/reporting manager and executive beginning with the Chubb Life Insurance Group, Greg has been responsible for SEC/GAAP and statutory reporting for multi-line life and A&H companies. Greg continued to progress to executive roles for investment product providers American Skandia (now Prudential) and Sage Life before joining ZON Re and Group Benefit Options serving as CFO and managing various operations. Greg’s focus on operating efficiencies in the service of his own organizations and those of client carriers, agencies and other partners suits InsurIQ well as he leads the sales and marketing efforts, financial and BPO operations.
Insurance industry veteran and successful entrepreneur whose career has been focused on integrating innovative technology into insurance industry processes. Brian has led start-ups and privately funded companies to a public/NYSE entity. A Harvard College grad, Brian began his career in employee benefits as a representative for Union Mutual and later as a member of the Johnson and Higgins (now Marsh) employee benefit division. He has contributed to the success of several venture backed organizations and served as President and CEO of United Insurance Companies, Inc. (NYSE:UCI) now HealthMarkets. Brian founded and operated ZON Re – USA, (reinsurance division now Nexus Re), Group Benefit Options and InsurIQ. Brian now serves as a strategic advisor to the InsurIQ operation.
